What is Hayat & Co.?
Hayat & Co. is more than a brand — it is a philosophy, a lifestyle, and a heartfelt offering to those seeking to live with greater intention, beauty, and balance.
The name “Hayat” (حياة) means “life” — not only in Arabic, but also in Urdu, Persian, and Turkish, reflecting a rich cross-cultural heritage that is deeply embedded in the Muslim world. This linguistic thread represents a shared spiritual vocabulary — one that transcends borders and invites unity through meaning.
But Hayat is also layered.
Its root letters — ḥ-a-y (ح-ا-ي) — are also the basis for the word ḥayā’ (حياء), which means modesty, humility, and dignity.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“Every religion has a distinct characteristic, and the characteristic of Islam is ḥayā’.”
(Ibn Mājah)
In this, Hayat becomes more than just existence, it becomes a life of dignity, a life of consciousness, and a life in submission to the Most Merciful. A life of depth, not just duration.

Hayat & Co. exists to share what we learn, as we learn it. It is a journal, a resource, and a companion for those seeking to simplify and beautify their lives through the lens of Islam.
